Rochester recorded its warmest January in 73 years. We
received only 13 inches of snow all month, and that all melted quickly.
Almost 50 degrees F on January 28!
So, we saw green grass and brown dirt most of the season, with never enough for cross-country skiing.
Winter initially arrived in a quite picturesque fashion
in early December. Enough snow to apply a pretty layer, and light an
fluffy enough to be easy to move.
We find the view from our living room across the yards quite
pretty when the area is covered in snow. But, for 2005-06, the winter
season was generally a bust!
But, the cats have trouble finding areas to walk that aren't
covered with that cold snow!
